  1. I would disagree about Zigbee.
    I’ve been running a Zigbee network for about 10 years now, based around Digi International XBees. An Arduino Mega 2560 acts as the coordinator.
    It works well enough most of the time, but then it lets you down.
    It’s not the Arduino, it’s the Zigbee network, or even the XBees.
    Support from Digi is poor.
    Maybe it’s the weather or the crowded 2.4-GHz frequency.
    Reluctantly, I’ve decided it’s not good enough.
    So, out with the XBees and in with the simpler, longer range 868 or 916-MHz devices. Lora or Low Power.
    If you don’t need to stream video, you don’t need Zigbee.
