I bought and tested 12+ of the latest USB-C cables that have come out in the last year. Even with the newest cables, there was a range of different protocols between them. USB-C is such a dumpster fire.
To figure out what the best cables were, I performed charge and data speed tests, then I tested durability by bending it to the marketing specs and re-did the charge and data speeds tests. The bending took almost a month to complete.

• Verdict: Best all-rounder if you leave it on your desk

My issue hasn’t been the actual cable breaking. It’s the actual connecting plug that breaks off the cable that’s an issue.
